November 2025: CSR Program, Surabaya
ARKA Cares — November Edition: Expanding Kindness Beyond the City
Last month in Jakarta, we launched ARKA Cares. Our commitment to dedicate time, effort, and resources toward giving back. But kindness doesn’t stop at one location.
This month, our CSR journey continued. This time reaching a different community. The destination changed, but the purpose stayed the same: show up, be present, bring kindness.
Main Story
For our November initiative, our team visited an elderly community center Basecamp, Komunitas Cahaya Bunda, Surabaya.
Instead of simply dropping donations, we stayed.
We had conversations. We listened to stories. We laughed together.
Many elders shared how what they miss the most isn’t items it’s connection.
So we gave what matters most: time, care, and human attention.
“We came as volunteers, but we left feeling like family.”
We distributed daily necessities (e.g., hygiene kits, basic groceries), but the highlight wasn’t the handover it was the warmth of the interaction.
What We Learned
Each CSR activity shifts something in us. From this experience, we were reminded:
Kindness isn’t about quantity — it’s about presence.
Human connection matters more than material assistance.
Impact starts small, but consistency turns it into change.
Closing
Two months in and ARKA Cares is becoming a rhythm. Next month, we’re going further:
empowering communities near our operational routes with education & safety awareness, especially where logistics activity intersects with local neighborhoods.
Because CSR isn’t just something we do. It’s who we’re becoming.
